Valentine Day इसकी चर्चा होते ही हमारे दिमाग में कुछ इस तरह के Picture घूमने लगते हैं जैसे – बहुत सारे प्रेमी जोड़े किसी पार्क में बैठे हों या फिर किसी रेस्तरा में, हाथ में गुलाब के फुल साथ ही कोई उपहार जो वे एक दूसरे को भेंट कर रहे होंगे और एक दूसरे से अपने प्यार का इजहार कर रहे होंगे। कुछ ऐसा ही होता है ना इस दिन, हाँँ दोस्तों बिल्कुल ऐसा ही होता है।
Valentine Day का इतिहास
Valentine Day के दिन हर एक प्रेमी जोड़ा एक दूसरे को यह जताते हैं कि वे उन्हें कितना प्यार करते हैं और अब तो सिर्फ प्रेमी जोड़े ही नहीं बल्कि शादी – शुदा और तो और अंकल – आंटियाँ भी इस दिन को मनाने लगे हैं।
दोस्तों, इस आर्टिकल में हम चर्चा करेंगे कि आखिर यह त्योहार क्यों मनाया जाता है, कब मनाया जाता है और कैसे मनाया जाता है और इसके पीछे की उन सभी कारणों के बारे में भी जानेंगे जो इस नाम को इतना महत्वपूर्ण बनाता है।
Valentine Day क्यों मनाते हैं :
यह कहानी है तीसरी सदी की, जब Rome में एक राजा हुआ करता था उसका नाम Claudius था वह बहुत ही क्रूर और निर्दयी शासक था। उसके राज्य की जनता उसके प्रकोप से थर – थर काँपती थी। उसका मानना था कि एक कुँवारे सैनिक में और एक शादीशुदा सैनिक में इस बात का फर्क तो रहता ही है कि कुँवारा सैनिक जितना बेहतर प्रदर्शन कर सकता है एक शादीशुदा सैनिक उतना बेहतर प्रदर्शन नहीं कर सकता क्योंकि उसे अपने परिवार की चिंता सताये रहती है इस कारण वह एक कुँवारे सैनिक के मुकाबले कम बेहतर प्रदर्शन कर पाता है इसी वजह से उसने अपने राज्य के सैनिकों के लिये एक ऐलान करवाया कि हमारे सैनिकों में कोई भी शादी नहीं करेगा और अगर कोई भी सैनिक इसका उलंघन करता पाया गया तो उसे दंडित किया जायेगा।
इस ऐलान से सैनिकों में दहशत की भावना पनपी, और बड़ी संख्या में लोग इसका पालन भी करने लगे लेकिन कुछ लोग ऐसे भी थे जो इसका गुप्त रुप से विरोध कर रहे थे लेकिन वे हिम्मत नहीं जुटा पा रहे थे कि वे इस बारे में कोई कदम उठा सकें।
उसी राज्य में एक संत रहा करते थे जिनका नाम वैलेन्टाइन था, और जब उन्हें इस बारे में पता चला तो उन्होने सैनिकों तक गुप्त रुप से यह सन्देश भिजवाया कि जो भी सैनिक शादी करना चाहता है वो मुझे बताये मै गुप्त रुप से उसकी शादी करवा दुँगा और फिर यह सिलसिला आगे बढ़ने लगा जिसे भी शादी करनी होती वह संत वैलेन्टाइन से संपर्क करता और उसकी शादी गुप्त रुप से करवा दी जाती थी।
यह सिलसिला निरंतर चलता रहा, लेकिन कोई भी रहस्य एक ना एक दिन उजागर हो ही जाता है और यह रहस्य भी एक दिन उजागर हो ही गया और आखिर राजा को इसके बारे में पता चल ही गया कि संत वैलेन्टाइन मेरे सैनिकों का गुप्त रुप से शादी करवा रहा है।
राजा ने अपने सैनिकों को आदेश दिया और संत वैलेन्टाइन को बन्दी बना लिया गया, उसे राजा के सामने पेश किया गया और राजा द्वारा उसे फाँसी की सजा सुनायी गई।
जिस जेल में संत वैलेन्टाइन को रखा गया था, उसका जेलर ( Asterius ) यह जानता था कि संत वैलेन्टाइन के पास एक दिव्य शक्ति है जिसके द्वारा किसी भी रोग को ठीक किया जा सकता है। उस जेलर की बेटी अंधी थी उसने संत वैलेन्टाइन को अपनी बेटी के बारे में बताया और उनसे विनती की कि वह उनकी बेटी को ठीक कर दें।
संत वैलेन्टाइन एक नेक दिल इंसान थे, वे सबकी मदद करते थे उन्होंने जेलर से कहा कि ठीक है मै तुम्हारी बेटी की आँखो की रोशनी की समस्या को ठीक कर दुँगा और संत वैलेन्टाइन ने जेलर की बेटी को ठीक कर दिया लेकिन इसी बीच संत वैलेन्टाइन और जेलर की बेटी के बीच दोस्ती हो गयी थी और धीरे- धीरे वह दोस्ती प्यार के रुप में बदल गई थी।
इधर संत वैलेन्टाइन के फाँसी का दिन भी नजदीक आ रहा था, उधर जेलर की बेटी को “वैलेंटाइन की मौत होने वाली है” इस बात को सोचकर उसे गहरा सदमा लग गया था और जिस दिन वैलेंटाइन को फाँसी होने वाली थी उन्होने अपनी मौत से पहले जेलर से एक कागज़ और कलम माँगा और जेलर की बेटी के नाम एक प्रेम पत्र ( Love Letter ) लिखा जिसमें आखिर में उसने “तुम्हारा वैलेंटाइन ” लिखा था ये वो लब्ज़ हैं जिसे आज भी लोग याद करते हैं तो लोगों की आँखों में आंसू आ जाते हैं और वह दिन था 14 फरवरी, और तभी से यह दिन Valentine Day के रुप में मनाया जाने लगा।
वैसे तो Valentine Day 14 फरवरी को मनाया जाता है लेकिन इसकी शुरुआत 7 फरवरी से ही हो जाती है और 14 फरवरी तक प्रतिदिन यह किसी ना किसी रुप में मनाया जाता है, जैसे :
7 फरवरी, Rose Day : Valentine Week की शुरुआत इसी दिन से होती है क्योंकि इस दिन प्रेमी जोड़े एक दूसरे को गुलाब का फूल देकर अपने अन्दर छुपी भावनाओं का इजहार करते हैं।
8 फरवरी, Propose Day : इस दिन प्रेमी जोड़े एक दूसरे को Propose करके अपने अंदर छुपी भावनाओं का इजहार करते हैं।
9 फरवरी, Chocolate Day : इस दिन प्रेमी जोड़े अपने प्रेम संबंधो में मिठास बढ़ाने के लिये एक दूसरे को Chocolate Gift करते हैं।
10 फरवरी, Teddy Day : इस दिन प्रेमी जोड़े एक दूसरे को टेडी बियर या इससे मिलते जुलते सॉफ्ट टॉयज गिफ्ट करते हैं।
11फरवरी, Promise Day : इस दिन प्रेमी जोड़े एक दूसरे से Promise करते हैं और भविष्य में एक दूसरे का साथ निभाने का वादा करते हैं।
12 फरवरी, Hug Day : Promise Day की मिठास के बाद इस दिन थोड़ा Hug तो बनता ही है, इसलिये इस दिन Hug Day मनाया जाता है।
13 फरवरी, Kiss Day : इस दिन Valentine Day ka Kiss Day मनाया जाता है।
14 फरवरी, Valentine Day : पूरे एक सप्ताह के जद्दो – जहद के बाद आखिर वो दिन आ ही जाता है जिसे Valentine Day अर्थात प्रेम दिवस कहते हैं।
